How an out-of-work photographer went from ZERO business and long nights to thriving workshops + coaching clients on autopilot — smack in the middle of a global pandemic!
The Challenge
Lost and not working due to the pandemic, and looking to add an online education side to her business.
Watching her income slowly crumble under pandemic restrictions, my client, Tara, needed to think quickly.
As a professional photographer, she knew she had plenty to teach about the topic. So sparked by a desire for life’s “luxuries” (like eating and keeping a roof over her head), Tara set out to share her expertise online.
Soon, however, she realized her path to success wasn’t as obvious as others made it look. With bills looming, her frustration reached a breaking point when time with her son was replaced by endless nights on her computer.
Lost at what step to take next and looking to start making passive and active income for herself, she approached me for help.
The Solution
Create premium offers and automate processes to free up more time for herself and her son.
Together, we created a plan to fit what she wanted to achieve. For Tara, that meant coming up with premium offers. Then, automating as much of the client-getting and “showing up” parts as possible.
With her vast amount of experience already there, I coached her through how to get paid by simply being present and answering questions in Facebook groups.
Next, it was time to attract leads and create additional opportunities.
We created a lead magnet to build her email list. Plus, positioned Tara to have a leading photography academy come to her and request a course for their program.
Suddenly, she was becoming a beacon of authority online for other photographers to seek out advice and coaching.
That’s when the magic started really happening.
The Results
In less than 6 months, during the pandemic, Tara went from no online business or presence to thriving through her workshops and premium coaching offers.
With my guidance, Tara’s business quickly took off.
She went from no email list to hundreds of subscribers. Her confidence soared. She gained the ability to effortlessly create courses, landing pages, and handle tech if she wanted to.
As a result, this meant she gained the experience and a repeatable process to create new income streams at will.
Equally important, she has an abundance of time for her son and husband again. Even with taking pictures thrown back into the mix, she’s able to handle everything thanks to automation and time management.
